WTB: 4th Gen Trans Am, T56 Preferred

So, I've been away for a while. I sold my old T/A and left for the Air Force with the hopes that I'd soon be ready to buy a new one. Now is that time. I have F-Body fever again. I currently live in the UK but I can still have a car shipped here for free. I'm having my dad try to help me get it sorted out, but I need to find a car first. Thus, it would be as though he is buying it. Pretty standard sale. I don't think I want to go over $12,000.

So... let me know what you have!

Or, you could be bold and daring by just offering whatever it may be that you have! Haha, here's the bizniss:

Color? Not purple or teal. Mystic teal might work, actually.
Int color? Anything goes. Stock preferably (saw one here in the UK with yellow and black reupholstered seats... would work in a Honda, but not here)
leather? Preferred, but I'll get a 4th gen leather interior if the car is right.
Mods? Not necessary, but it will have to pass UK emissions. If not, I'll weld in some cats or something.
Motorwork? Not necessary, but again, must pass UK emissions. Cams and all that jazz are usually safe if the sniffers don't get too crazy. There's plenty of LS1 setups that pass CA emissions and the UK isn't as bad.
Stock? Not necessary.

TA or WS6? WS6 preferred, T/A still wonderful

Z28 or SS? No Camaro for me, otherwise I would have said 4th gen F-body instead of T/A. I love a good Camaro, but I was raised on T/As.

We're from Saginaw but really most/all of Michigan isn't off limits. That one in KY is awesome but a bit too far away. If only plane tickets weren't a million bucks, I'd come back and get one myself. I'd rather use that time to see my family though :/

In about a month or two I am going to be putting my wife's '98 WS6 up for sale. Pic here, but will upload better later on - sorry. Haven't decided on a price or anything yet, but will surely be well under your 12k max, more like $9,999 ish. Its beautiful, stock (only mod is K&N filter and icats dynamax ypipe), 6 spd, ttp, monsoon. Has about 88,000 miles and looks like is has 30,000 on it. New tires with a few thousand miles on them installed and practically have the nubs on them still. It has always been clayed, waxed, and leather conditioned religiously. Ice cold ac, hot hot heat, everything I can think of works great. The windows are not slow, probably the best I've had in any of my 10 fbods.

Car drive like new basically, never raced or tracked. We are the second owners, bought it off a 70 yr old guy and my wife has babied it since (proof with the stock clutch that feels new). No damage or paintwork has ever been done as far as I know, and it is paid in full, so clear clean title already in hand. Car doesn't even have a door ding on it that I know of.

Only things I've done, most of which was preventative maintenance:

Items replaced:

- Mass airflow sensor
- clutch master cylinder
- plugs and wires
- all 4 new rotors and pads within the last 15,000
- dynamax off road ypipe deleting cats - no engine lights since the rears are turned off (had torque management turned off while having cats tuned out)

Preventative maint.:

- oil changed every 2,000 miles
- brake fluid flushed at 70,000 miles
- power steering fluid flushed at 70,000 miles
- coolant flushed every year and I just installed a 160 tstat
- diff fluid flushed at 70,000 miles
- clutch fluid flushed every other oil change

(A lot of these were flushed before, this is just the most recent in my log)

That looks great. I had to unfortunately step out of the market for the moment. My Honda over here lost the timing belt. I was told it was an interference engine, so while it was in the shop getting the new timing belt put on, I bought a car assuming that the Honda wouldn't work (bent valves, etc.). Well, I was lucky, and it runs fine now, but I'm down about $3500 right now.

Let me know again when it's officially for sale so I can see how things look.
