  • 1980 Corvette Project Car

    1980 Corvette
    T-Tops, 305V8
    Needs total restoration.
Rolling Chassis, Good tires, Rims, Frame, whole back of car from doors to rear spoiler good. Front clip good, but small cracks that are repairable.
All glass is there, but will need a front windshield.
    Needs many interior pieces.
Hood's good, most of the trim, lights, etc are in boxes inside of car.
Definitely a project car or good drag car candidate
Independant rear suspention with good rear end.
Was a running/driving car back when I was a wee 16 yrs old.
Could be a nice car again for sure.

    $1500 or best offer.
(Reasonable offers please...the headlights alone sell for $800-1000)

Damn, I wish it was closer. Well the backround scenery would match freeland.

          Four speed?
          does the engine run?
          frame pictures?

Depending on those answers I will decide if it is worth a 5 hour trip.

Wish I had room for projects... I love C3 corvettes although 1980 is a little newer than my favorite years it's still a gorgeous car.

Yes, definitely, frame pics...front and rear.

And is it matching numbers (a 305 really was available in 1980...would actually make it a rather rare car...one of 3221)?

                  One expensive project though...

good point and automatic but the 305 cars were only sold California. If it been in California most of it life, There is a better chance I would buy it.

Correct and agreed...still a major project...

Sorry that I didn't reply to this... I subscribed but it wasn't giving me notifications

The Background is near West Branch, not Freeland.

This is a 305 California Emissions car.
It has been in Michigan the majority of its life, however stored in the wintertime.
Since it was damaged, It sat outside for a period of time, but then was rescued and re-stored in garage storage for restoration.

The Frame Rail photo I have looks like this.
                        The Front Frame looked good.

It is a major project to get it back to 100%.
Most of the stuff is there to re-assemble, but it will need work - no doubt about it.
But - if you look at what's here...You know that the parts alone would bring at least $1000 if not more. That's why we're open to offers.

The 305 engine that goes with it was supposed to have ran - It's on an engine stand in storage- I do not know if it runs.

The Car was an automatic. The trans is gone - Our suprise when we pulled it out of the barn.

This car was beautiful back in 95. I drove it when it was in its glory. Then... the huron county drunk got ahold of it...thrashed it, then was rescued by another vette enthusiast, which I'm assuming started the restoration process...then the ex found it...rescued it, and here it sits. Came full circle back to him which was kind of neat, but very sad to see it in its current state.

It needs a good home where it won't be traded off or cut into pieces.
                        Are you that home?

Man I really wish I had the money for a project car, a Vette in particular. It would be such a great winter activity.

Any other offers Gents? We are negotiable.

I may be bringing the car down from up north as Sister is having issues looking at it in the yard.
