After several years of talking about it, looks like were moving. So some stuff has got to go.
Unfortunately, that includes two of our cars. So I'm going to have to part with my 98 'Bird. Of course, it will soon be replaced with a 71, but thats another story;.
1998 Firebird
Purple W/Dark Gray interior
Leather interior
Hardtop
$2000
Shes pretty much stock. One headlight motor is blown. I have the replacement aluminum gear kit to rebuild it, just havent had the time to do it. There is some very light damage to the passenger side front, right next to the bumper. Looks like it just needs to be straightened back out, the brace for the bumper is bent. Other than that, no dents or rust. Rear wheel wells are immaculate. She has about 160k on her.
Runs good. It does have a little lifter rattle when it first starts after sitting for awhile, but it smooths out and goes away after a few minutes. No idea whats causing that. Weak oil pump?
Just put new plugs/wires/brakes/shocks on it. Needs new springs in the back next. Two new tires. New hood struts.
Interior is in pretty good shape. One small tear on the drivers seat, and part of the ashtray is missing. Other than that, very nice. No snags/tears/scrapes on the doors, console, or dash. Headliner is perfect. Passenger side window is stuck up.
Check engine light is on, setting an EGR code. It was setting random missfire, thus the new plugs and wires. Cleared that right up.
I was using it as a DD back and forth, but scheduling changes for my wife and I means I now needed to get a car that could carry the kids. Sigh.
I'd like to get 2K out of it. Seems to be the going rate for one of these in this condition, or slightly lower.

This car really makes me want to convert my membership status in the Michigan Firebird Club from Honorary to Regular!
