Wow, I'm down here in the DownRiviera area tonight, wish I would have read this thread earlier. H.O. with the tan leather is not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's pretty attractive and would be hottt with the right stripes. If this turns out to be any good at all, then you need this car Brian!!!

I think hugger orange looks great. I just don't think it would match the tan leather very well. H.O. over black leather would be sweet.Originally posted by Hugger Z View PostTry again! It looks good.
Yeah Hugger Orange was a 30th anniversary color option offered only in 1999. 1,402 cars were made. That is crazy though if there are now 3 Z28's around here with the RS package. 2 auto's and 1 manual.

I bet it would look hot with white 30th seats and white racing stipes, be like an inside out 30th anniversary

Well that sucks, probably why it's so cheap, talk the guy down.If he's asking 4300 with a bad tranny offer 3300 and pick up a good 4l60e for 500 and still be under asking priceOriginally posted by bri2203 View PostWell I just called the owner and the car has a tranmission problemand a few other small issues. I think I am still going to go look at it today though.

I didnt get to go look at the car with Brian but I just talked to him about it a little while ago. Sounds like a piece... or a car that needs a lot of love and attention. There is no overdrive with the trans (thats the trans problem) and sounds like a lot of things are wrong. Brian said the car did not really look that good, some rust forming, side skirts dangling down missing screws, headliner all jacked up and look like it had been hit or scrapped up on pretty good. He did say if you could get it for $3000 it wouldnt be a bad pick up or for someone looking to step into the LS1 car who is willing to do the work and piece this things back together. Brian did pass on the car today although he may call back in a week and low ball him if he still has it

Yea... With all of the strange things I would have expected this to have 3 or 4 owners. But his wife bought the car brand new, it had V6 tires up front(235/55/16), right quarter panel repainted(he didn't know about), passenger door handle loose, boht front seat bottoms are torn badly, missing interior trim, new fuel pump via trap door, cracked windshield, headliner removed and broke, etc.Originally posted by Darrenscamaro View PostI didnt get to go look at the car with Brian but I just talked to him about it a little while ago. dont think that this car has much of an option, prolly gonna get at least a 'good' owner anyway. from the issues described, doesnt sound like anyone would pick this thing up unless they had a good idea of what they were doing. once trans problems are mentioned, most people just walk away.Originally posted by esoteric18 View Postif you can low ball him thatd be awesome and you could save a camaro that otherwise might go to another bad owner
