Looking to either sell out right or trade for your car + cash for mine. (Note: Ad was x-posted from a local forum)
Well, I've had this car a few months now, then I got my Civic. I love this car, absolutely love it. It's been in the family since 1991. Bought new at Al Serra Chevrolet in 1987, bought used by my uncle at Al Serra in 1991.
Year: 1987
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Monte Carlo
Trim: SS
Engine: 5.7L (20k REAL miles, not since installation. Motor was brand new when installed)
Trans: 200R4 4 speed automatic w/OD
Rear end: 3.42 Posi (20k miles)
Options:
Cassette
Power Windows
Power Locks
A/C (needs recharged, leaks out over winter but charge it in spring and it will hold till it gets cold)
Good:
Body is relatively clean. Both doors and passenger quarter panel were replaced 10 years ago (less than 10k miles since then), still solid
Interior is clean
Runs strong, shifts good.
SOLID FRAME
Full size spare + donut spare included
Bad:
Rust on both rocker panels and drivers quarter panel
Could use either a repaint or a good wheel job
Right turn signal sticks (only when it sits a week or two, works after a while)
Radio is in and out
Has a CD changer, but can't get it to work
Needs a driver side floor pan
I don't want to sell this, but I owe my uncle money on this car. If I can't get what I want, I'll just give it back to him.
Price: 4500 OBO or trade for a RWD GM Vehicle + Cash, prefer a B-Body
Price may seem high, but good luck finding one that's in this shape. All the cheaper ones I looked at were either blown up or had bad frame rot.

It was on a spare in this picture, I had a flat. The full size spare is a matching wheel that I didn't have at the time.
