  • 1985 Big Block Chevy IROC Camaro for sale

    http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/bar/1423366091.html

A friend of mine has this car for sale or trade. Above is a link to the original ad, and below is a more organized detail of the car broken down into catagories. This is a great running car just needing a little clean up work. Eric L

For sale is a 1985 Chevrolet IROC Z28 showing 44,968 miles on the odometer. VIN: 1G1FP87F6FN167272. It has been converted to a Big Block Chevrolet with all the best aftermarket parts. I just have to many projects so something has to go.

Motor- .030 over 454 (468 cubic inches) Hi nickel truck/marine block that has been line bored decked and hot tanked. 4 Bolt main block. Factory forged crank that has been radiused. 7/16 dimple rods and Keith Black Hypertecnic pistons with a .133 dome and speed pro chrome moly rings. With the heads 119cc chambers this puts compression at around 10-1, runs great on pump gas. The heads are ported oval port heads with 2.19/1.88 valves, and comp cams 1.72 roller rocker arms, and comp cams 7/16 chrome moly push rodsthis combined with the Lunati 2333 cam (specs- 241 duration @ .050 with .554 lift) make for a nice choppy idle while still maintaing great street manors. It has a moroso 8 quart oil pan with a moroso oil pump and pick up assembly, and a remote oil filter kit for easy oil changes. It also has a cloyes double roller timing chain. It has hooker super comp headers with 3" dual exhaust with flow master mufflers and turn outs.

Fuel system- The fuel system consists of a aeromotive pre pump billet fuel filter followed by a Mallory comp 140 fuel pump with a fram filter after the pump. Than it has stainless fuel line all the way up to the Demon wet flow 750 cfm carb.

Cooling- It has a high output factory water pump with a serpentine belt drive and a howe aluminum radiator.

Trans- Built TH350 wiht Hughes kevlar clutches and shift kit. Trans has a B &M 4300 torque converter, and a BIG flex alite heavy duty trans cooler.

Rearend- 10 bolt rear with relocated ta bracket on trans cross member. Rear has a 3.42 gear with a locking differential.

Body is in good shape needing some paint work in spots, but is rust free. Car has a harwood fiberglass 4 inch cowl hood on it.

Interior- The interior has been upgraded with aftermarket front buckets but does need some tidying up and has some missing trim pieces.

1997 Camaro SS #2819 M6, Red, 3.42, 1 of 27, Ttops, BBK shorty headers, Flowmaster cat back, 1.6 rr, LT4 valve springs, ASAM CAI, Centerforce clutch, runs 12s, breaks 10 bolts.

Its a little tight in there, but its an ok fit, and a clean instalation. The car just needs a little tidying up and IMHO those front seats need to leave and be replaced by some 4th gen leather seats. Eric L

The motor has more into it than the asking price. The economy is just so bad that the price keeps droping. Its sad out there. Eric L

This is an awesome deal! At that price for that engine i can almost look over the lack of a manual t-tops and my lack of cash. Almost wish i did not buy a winter car a few weeks ago.
