    Fs: 89 gta

    This is the car I was asking about. I went and looked at it, even though I knew I wasn't going to buy it.. Took some pics, if anyone is interested you can PM me for his number. Car appeared to be very solid, didn't notice any rust, paint needs a good buffing and would look great. Engine bay was dirty, car ran like a top though. Brakes were spongy, he said he had just replaced the fronts, I think he got air in the line. Interior was so, so, drivers seat has a 1/2 hole, pass headrest ripped, needs new headliner. Car has 150K on it, supposedly 50K on new motor(but it is the original motor, so it is a #'s matching car. He is asking 5500, he told me if someone handed him 4K he'd take it..

    Even 4K is too much for that car. You can buy an LS1 car with the same miles on it for around 5K. So why get something 20 years older? That car is worth $3200, tops.

      That's why I knew I wasn't buying it when I went out there. I knew he wouldn't come down 3 grand. Only worth about 2500 IMO... But thought I'd post it up in case anyone was interested..

        People are crazy.. I dont understand this hike in 3rd Gen prices.. 40k mile ones are going for over $8-9k.. Hell mine has 48k on the clock and I bought it for 1300!

          It's called supply and demand....the supply of 3rd gens that are clean and rust free is very low so the people that want them pay more. Don't forget most of these cars are no longer depreciating, instead they are increasing in value to collectors...where as 4th gens are still dropping like a stone.

          That guy will get every bit of $4K for that car.
