Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
saw this this morning and thought id post it. im unsure of who owns it, but everytime i drive by it, it lokks better and better. price seems a little high, but what do i know?
Obviously it's been repainted, but if the underside is as clean as the top, and it is a real SE car (and the shifter plate would support that it could be), you could tack a "1" in front of the asking price, sell for $15,000 and both parties can call it a good day...
And there is no such thing as a 305 HO motor...lol...but the 305s were nearly exclusive to Cali...so that could be another good sign...
I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
why does the shaker say 6.6 liter and its only a 305 and whats an SE car? so sorry for my stupidity
That's an indicator it's been repainted...they didn't offer a 6.6 motor in 1980...the biggest shaker hood car you could get was the 5.0L 305.
And the SE is for the Y84 Special Edition "Smokey and the Bandit" cars...pop the hood and see if it has Y84 on the data plate on the driver's side of the firewall...
If it does...jackpot...
EDIT: Again (you missed my last edit...lol...), if it is, it's a 1 of 453 car...

Damn that's a really nice looking TA. And there is a such thing as a 305 HO, Jeff.

A new engine arrived for Z28 models in April 1983. It featured a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, new camshaft grind, dual-snorkel air cleaner with air inlets in the headlight openings, dual-belt accessory drive, cast-aluminum intake manifold, and 190hp. This engine was known as the HO (high output). Available only with 5-speed manual, it sold just 3223 units in 1983, but became popular in time because its cost was the same as the other optinal Z28 engine with cross-fire injection, yet the HO delivered more power with a simler fuel delivery system.
