When he was trying to sell the car on here it was listed at 1000. i emailed him back and forth for a couple days and he told me he wanted 1500. I asked him about it and he said how about 1200. then he just kind of disappeared.

Yeah, but back then the car was in Plymouth, wasnt it? So either he moved, or he did sell it. I had an agreement from him to buy it, then he sent me an E-mail saying it sold. Weird.

Yeah I was thinking about doing the same thing of flipping it, but not buying it and leaving it in the same condition that he bought it in trying to sell it the same way as the previous owner did. Doesnt make sense to buy it put 0 work into and expect twice as much...

yes it does, if it is worth twice as much in the first place and you just happen to get it for a steal of a price then flipping it is the best thing to do. I don't see anything wrong at all with what hes trying to do. This is a free market country, people can buy and sell pretty much as they see fit. (with some exceptions)

True but you have to admit in this case the car with all the work needed is not worth twice as much as he bought it for. This car would have been perfect to buy put the work needed into and then he probably could have made a penny or two in the deal.
