Not quite, 4th gen B4C's are abasicly a z28 in base coupe trim. No special engines, brakes or swaybars, just std Z28 Stuff.

      Heres a 1999 B4C Spec brochure.

Must be. They are correct about the coolers and chargeing system, but other then that they are like I said a Z28 in Base Coupe Trim.

I believe some of the bushings were different as well but I changed them all on my car anyway. The B4C's didn't have the side Z28 emblems, only the one on the rear. There are a ton of rumors about changes on B4C's but I wouldn't believe them all, the bigger alternator and coolers are the only things I could verify. And all B4C automatics had the 3.23 posi rear end.
I did have a dealer run the build codes on my car before I bought it and they tried to explain the B4C package to me but I didn't think anything of it at the time.

The only thing I'm getting out of B4C is that a bunch of cops ragged on it before you!

The 1999 B4C option included a 305 horsepower 5.7 liter LS1 V8 engine, a performance all-welded exhaust system designed to reduce noise and vibration, and 16-inch aluminum wheels mounted with 245/50ZR16 blackwall all-season performance tires. Also included were four (4)-wheel vented anti-lock disc ABS brakes, power steering oil cooler, 140-amp alternator, heavy-duty 525 cold-crank- amp battery, heavy-duty electrical systems for the amount of gadgets that will be put into the car by the police department. As well as 155-mile per hour speedometer, performance handling suspension, and the limited-slip rear axle ( 3.23:1 automatic or 3:42:1 manual)

I was trying to be nice, But I guess I will just come right out and say NO they didn't, and somebody must have added it to yours. B4C's had NO Z28 badging on them when they left the Factory.

I agree that they should not have had any emblems but I have heard from several people that many left the factory with emblems on the rear only. Neither me or the last owner added the emblem so it may have come from the factory and it may not. I don't think 1 Z28 emblem makes that big of a difference (the future owner is more than welcome to take it off since the emblems are just stuck on with sticky tape). I am just trying to be honest about what I know about 'my' car. I know there are many rumors on wikipedia and other websites about B4C cars and I can't verify them, I do have my mods listed which I did myself.
I don't think anyone can say for certain exactly what each car had when it left the factory, were you there when my car was built? If not can we please keep this on the subject of it being for sale.

                        Thanks.

not getting into the B4C arguement but where did you buy this car from?

I only ask because I detailed a car that sounds EXACTLY like this about 4 years ago for an acquaintance. Only had a Z28 badge on the back and was blue with some minor peeling spots, very barebones automatic.

i have a pic of it actually, but i cant remember if the interior was tan or light grey. I didnt think to check if it was a B4C, but it very well could have been one.

anyway just curious, good luck with the sale.

I am 99% sure that is my car. That looks exactly like it did when I bought it (now it has bigger brakes and different wheels, etc.) The guy I bought it from was a school teacher but I can't remember his name. The car has all the power options. It's a small world and you have an excellent memory to remember the car from 4 years ago.

I almost forgot that the whole car including the roof and mirrors are all the same blue color, if I recall every other camaro I have owned had either a black roof or black mirrors.

A couple of nuances that I could find about B4Cs...

                              1. B4C content may have varied as the years went on...a 1985 B4C package differed from one offered in 2001...for example, in 1991 all B4Cs were RS Camaros, not Z28s...need to research this one more.

                              2. B4Cs may have come with stricter emmisions than standard Z28s beginning circa 2000 to comply with several states new stricter emission requirements for federal/state fleet vehicles (Cal and NJ are mentioned)...need more research here too.

                              3. The main advantage that B4Cs had was it allowed a price break or discount to whoever state/federal agency was purchasing it...the B4C option triggered it's own MSRP.

                              4. The B4C brochures they handed out each year are vague at best, and completely uniformitive at worst.

                              5. From my own curiosity, I'd like to know if a B4C car received a different ECM from the factory in any year...

Long story short, I think it's a safe assumption that the B4C package was not fixed and absolute from year to year.

Good luck with the sale btw...
