  • 1999 Z28, $5200 runs and drives great.

I am thinking of selling my 1999 Camaro, LS1, Automatic (it was a cop car for 30k miles and it has the B4C package).

100,xxx miles, automatic, dark navy blue, tan interior is in good condition, power windows and locks, keyless entry, cold air, no t-tops, 3.23 gears with posi, etc.

    The bad:
-I give the paint a 5 out of 10 because clear coat is peeling on the drivers rear fender and it has some stone chips and wear. Looks good from 15 ft but you can notice imperfections up close. I had my brother look over the car and he thinks the drivers rocker panel and door was replaced before and the drivers rear fender was repainted but no structural damage and nothing shows up on carfax.
-the passenger side rocker has a small dent from hitting a curb, it is at the bottom and not very noticeable.
    -small ding in the hood.
-fog lights don't work (I think the bulbs are burnt out)
Trying to be honest about everything I know of, it really isn't bad if it had a paint job or fine if you use it as a daily driver.

MODS: (all done this year, most of them within the past 2 months)
    -SLP air lid
    -Edelbrock Panhard Bar
    -boxed rear control arms
-Baer big brake upgrade on the front, Baer calipers, 13" 2 piece drilled and slotted Baer rotors, etc.
-Bilstein SLP valved struts and shocks
    -24,000GVW B&M trans cooler
-C5 wagon wheels (circa de 1998) 17" in front, 18" in rear. will need new tires soon, one front rim has some curb rash.
-All ES polyurethane bushings throughout the entire suspension and trans mount and torque arm mount and even replaced the motor mounts with poly mounts. Stiff ride but very tight.
-Pacesetter long tube headers, pacesetter 3" offroad Y pipe, flowmaster muffler. No cats, egr, or air pump. The codes haven't been tuned out so the ses light is on only because of the removal of the cats and air pump.
-only mobil 1 oil and filters since I have owned the car.
    -NGK platinum plugs, MSD wires.
    -stainless steel brake lines
    -Sony CD player/radio with remote
    -CD changer in trunk

I have kept up on all maintenance, changed trans fluid and filter, synthetic rear end fluid, rebuilt AC clutch, new window motor, tie rod ends, just had another alignment done, new windshield, wiper motor, etc.

This car runs and drives great! The suspension and brakes are very tight, the intake and exhaust mods improved fuel mileage. It is an excellent daily driver with no mechanical problems. Engine runs great, it has great compression. Trans shifts great. I wouldn't be afraid to just hop in and drive it anywhere.

Feel free to email me or post with any questions. I don't have any pics but I am sure some guys on here will post up who have seen it or you can come look at it for yourself. I live in Walled Lake.

I am selling it because I don't drive it during the winter and I have several other cars so I would rather sell it now and then next Spring I will probably buy a 6 speed f-body or vette. I love my camaro and I wouldn't sell it but for the fact that I want a 6 speed for next summer and I don't want the car to just sit in my garage until then.

No, I have had 3 4th gen f-bodies. They are addictive, I just think it will be time for a 6-speed again.

            Same thing I'm working on . . . My first F-Body was a V6/5-speed, I've wanted a 6 speed since I got the Formula.

Good luck with the sale, and let us know when you find your next F-Body!

The B4C isn't exactly a special package, it is the designated upgrade for police cars. I don't know what difference it would have on the car other than a bigger alternator and a few minor things. It does have a municipal title that stays with the vehicle due to the B4C. No difference in ownership, just a different looking title.

I'm not really looking for trades since I will most likely buy a 6 speed car in the Spring but let me know what you have and I'll think about it.

Bigger alternator, bigger sway bars, seperate engine, power steering and trans coolers, bigger brakes.

Haha, I changed the trans cooler for the larger B&M cooler, I upgraded the brakes to the much larger Baer Track setup. I learned that it had different bushings (1LE I believe) but I upgraded every bushing on the car to polyurethane. I guess I upgraded most things that were on the B4C package.

I will say that the car handles much better and is much tighter than stock.
