Neither can I. I'm dying here. I have bills to pay, I need to get my DD insured ASAP so I can park the Formula. This truck only needs an O2 Sensor wired up, the previous owner cut the wires, and the muffler shop that installed the new Y-Pipe threw the old sensor out. It's $48 at Advance Auto Parts. The front suspension bushings are pretty bad, but they don't need replacement immediately, they could wait until next spring/summer. The rear axle u-bolts need replacing, they are loose, and too rusted to tighten them without them breaking. Other than that, it is simply small dings and scratches in the paint that's wrong with it.

I'm not touching the truck. I won't drive it to meet anyone, because it doesn't have plates or insurance on it, and I don't want to chance damaging it at all en route. This truck is worth a lot more than what I'm asking for it, as I've said. I'm not going to drop the price any more than I already have, as I feel bad about selling it for what I'm asking right now. The only reason I'm selling as cheap as I am is that I need the money pretty badly right now.

I know. That's why I'm so ticked that it's not gone. I'm practically giving this thing away. I paid $1,200, and it was in worse shape. I replaced a crushed fender, a broken bumper, put a stereo system in it, new tires (that suck, but that's beside the point), a brushguard that's EASILY worth a couple hundred bucks used (I'm pulling it off and selling it on EBay), replaced the exhaust, and put countless hours into making it better than it was before. I'm taking a loss, and I can't stand people lowballing me at the price it's at now. I had a guy offer me $600 when it was listed on Craigslist for $1,500. Then, when I replied that I couldn't go that low, he said, "Your loss." and hung up on me. WTF is wrong with people these days?!?!

Ben, if your philosophy holds true, this truck is worth more than $1,000. It runs and drives, AND it has working 4WD. That's twice as many wheels driving the vehicle as any car, so I'm thinking it's worth twice as much, right? lol

everybody expects people to give things away because of the shitty economy. I had someone offer me 2500 less than my asking price on my truck without asking me a thing about it. Had he not hung up immedaiately I would have thanked him for the comic relief his phone call provided me. 15 second phone call no joke.

I know. Apparently I'm asking too much still, because I keep getting emails from people who want to buy the tires seperate from the truck. It's being sold as a package deal. All or nothing, people. No, I won't sell my truck for $500. It's worth $2,000, but I need it gone, so it's on Craigslist for $1,500. I paid $1,200 a year ago, and it's got about another $700-$800 in parts alone.
I've got too much into this to be taking such a hit AND having people insult me with their ridiculous low-ball offers.

I have it listed on Craigslist for $1,500, on here and LS1Tech for $1,000. I won't go lower. If it doesn't sell this week, I'm selling it on ebay. I'm sick of people telling me what a pile of shit it is, it got me from A to B for over a year, never left me stranded, and while it may not be perfect, it's still better than most other vehicles you can get for $1,500 out there.

That's because I've realized that while many people do want too much for their vehicles, to me, they can be replaced. Plus, I am able to get pretty good deals on vehicles, somehow I always come out ahead when I buy a car. For example, the Formula. I paid less than $3,000 for it, and I've put 15,000 miles on it in a year, and the only thing I've had to replace is the alternator (besides regular maintainence). I got a great deal on the Truck, paid $1,200 and drove it about 50 miles home without so much as a hiccup from the truck. It's in better condition right now than it was back then, but I'm still selling it for much less than I'm comfortable selling it for, simply because I need the money. There are too many other things I need to take care of, and I don't enjoy the truck anymore. It's just time to move on.

On a positive note, someone offered to buy the truck for $1200, and they said they could pick it up today or tomorrow. Unfortunately, since their initial email contact, they have not replied, so I don't know what's going to come of that.

Anybody interested in the fiberglass tonneau cover or the brush guard? The tonneau cover is in kinda rough shape, so I'll take $50 o.b.o. for it, and the brush guard is for a Toyota 4Runner I think. It's in excellent shape, Manik brand, they go for about $600 new. $200 o.b.o. sound alright? I'm going to list those up on Craigslist seperate from the truck and hope I get a couple of bites.

I CAN'T WAIT! I wish I were getting more out of it, like what I paid for it at least, but it will finally be gone! I will have more cash than I know what to do with! Actually, I know exactly what I'm going to do with the cash, pay bills, but that's beside the point. . .

If this doesn't pan out, at least there are a couple of others who have expressed interest. . .

I know what that's like. . . The whole time I was living on campus, I was living on microwaveable burritos and ramen noodles. Being Broke=FTL. lol

Oh, and the buyer's email address has "313motoring" in it, so maybe he's associated with a certain "custom" auto shop in Detroit?
