  • Looking at a '97 T/A 'Vert

The car is "kinda" rough. Needs a lot of TLC. I haven't driven it, just stopped and checked it out tonight, no one was home. The tires are fair and the wheels are older chromed aluminum with some peeling. The leather seats will need to be repaired. Sign says Flowmaster exhaust and a kit in the 4L60E. The brakes looked okay for a cursory. The top looks okay but needs to be cleaned and treated. Miles aren't to bad at just over 100K.
I have an email out to the seller. I know what I want to pay, we'll see how motivated he is.
What do you guys think? Worth 6500 or so?
It would be fun to get back into one of these. I do miss the CE I had. I know the LT4 isn't an LS1 but how fast does it need to be? We still have my wife's '94 Formula but that is HER car and not something I want to mess around with...

I'd say that sounds about right. Maybe even a few dollars high, as those chrome wheels and leather seats won't be cheap to fix.

      Thanks Dave,
Yea, KBB on the car is about 4,500. A co-worker asked what the bottom line was and got 7500 back... Not gonna happen at that price. I would "maybe" go 5500 but it had better run really good with no engine or suspension "noise"...
      Thanks

I would have said under $5k. Some people think they have a gold ingot parked in their driveway. You just walk away from them and never contact them again because they will never get to a reasonable price. keep searching. try searchtempest.com it will check craigslist around the country easily. good luck.
