JESUS dude, be patient!
Put it in the classifieds, put it on Autotrader.com (people WILL call like crazy).
Honestly dude - you have to give it more time!
Keep in mind $5000 is a STEAL for that F-body.Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

its not that, i need to take the trans out. I dont have time for that, i have alot of school stuff going on and as soon as school gets done, i will be working 40hr/wk so i wont have time to fix it
i gave it my all and thought i did pretty good for my first real engine/drivetrain swap but i need more practice. engine runs good but the transmission for some reason needs servicing or rebuild. I will know for sure whats wrong with it now in a few days when a builder comes to look at it

dude put it for sale on autotrader and be done with it. You want to deal with the bad trans... all you gotta do is put "bad trans" in the listing. take a break and move on to the next car. its not going to sell here, we all have fbodies already and no money.-Joel

I've always thought autotrader just sells drivers?
You guys think a project car would sell on there then?
I really like the car now, I use to hate V6/Formula 93-97 body styles but now i like them, kind of want to just keep it for someday

i found my car on autotrader. A car with a bad trans isnt that much of a "project"
Just put, "trans is bad and power steering or whatever leaks, otherwise excellent condition. i dont have time to fix these so my loss is your gain." you will get phone calls, it is the perfect time of year to sell that car.-Joel

i would put 3200 or best offer (as it is now, higher if you fixed it), and wait for someone to offer 2500. you dont know, someone might offer 3k and think they are getting a bargain. just make sure you highlight that the body/paint/interior are all in great shape, and that it would be a great car with a couple fixes. you will get phone calls.-Joel

yea i know craigslist you have to ask almost $1,000 more than you want but i was thinking autotrader would be a bit more civilized.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Posti would put 3200 or best offer (as it is now, higher if you fixed it), and wait for someone to offer 2500. you dont know, someone might offer 3k and think they are getting a bargain. just make sure you highlight that the body/paint/interior are all in great shape, and that it would be a great car with a couple fixes. you will get phone calls.

for what its worth - my car was priced at x200 on autotrader, and the guy wouldnt even drop that last 200 bucks off for me
yes, people are a bit more civilized on autotrader.
buyers know that sellers are less serious on craigslists, being that its a free service. it is very much a bargain hunter site.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; April 14th, 2008, 09:53 PM.-Joel
