  • 1997 Camaro vert, rolling chassie

My Brother in law bought this at the auction. Very clean on the inside, leather, Top looks very good.
Have 18" chrome rims. Its missing two of them, but are on order.
He doesn't really know what to do with the car. He was going to paint the car and drop a big block in it and have some fun.

But, who knows. Its got a 3.8L motor. Needs a hood, passenger side fender, a windshield, and a few things that melted under the hood.
The 3.8 might actually run if it was cleaned up. No clue on the miles because it burned the computer.

If had a couple people ask me what he wanted for it. And I'm really not sure.
So this is up for some offers.

Thoughts were to part it out, we could stick a 3.8L back in it, stick a v8 into it....not really sure.

$1000, to low. He paid more then that at the auction.
We could slap a 3.8 back in it, paint it and sell it for $5500 - $6000
No trades, LOL...hes got enough toys. Unless you have a 2 post hoist. Then he will trade.

with fire damage and body damage the way it is, $1000 is all it is worth. He paid to much for it then. 3.8s are not worth that much once they are rebuilt as I assume the title is not a clean title anymore. A 97 in good running condition and mint body will only fetch around 5k tops

Look on KBB, privet party is worth over 6k.

....and its got a clean title!

To the right person its worth more.
Its all what someones willing to pay for it. Tires are brand new, Hell we could get 400-500 just for the rims and tires.

Having fire damage, the entire wire harness for the front engine compartment could be toast. I'd still say its worth more than $1,000. However I think $2,000 would be pushing it.

well...I didn't think they were going for that low. Not this clean of a roller anyway.
If you want pics of the motor, I'll have to get those on Tuesday.
We already have prices on a hood, front fender, and a new rear bumper. (paints pealing off, easier to replace then to sand it all down).

My bro in law was going to repaint the whole car and maybe paint some stripes on it. He wasn't sure.
If he doesn't get $2500.00 as its sits. He will continue with his plans and make more money later down the road.

from the pics the interior looks like it has had better days as well. I think you guys would be better off parting it out or selling it as a roller as there is a lot of work there that needs to be done and you most likely are not going to get what you put into out back from selling it. People can buy v8s in the 5500-6500 price range now

btw, fire damage under hoods is a nightmare. wiring will have you chasing your tail for some time

Interior very clean, lol just needs a vacuum and a radio. Leather seats are really good shape.
A wire harness from a junk yard isn't very much at all, and is less work then you think. I've done it b4.

Like I said to the right person its worth $2500.00 who has a good motor and wire harness.
Do disrespect to anyone here....I had 2 PM's last week when someone totalled their camaro here on the site. It's here if someone is looking. If your not looking.....then its worth nothing to everyone else.
Like I said, if he doesn't get $2500.00, it will be a fun project for sure. We have 2 454 big blocks in the rear waiting for a car to go in.
