  • WTT: 86 Mazda RX7 SE for a camaro

I know this is a Camaro forum, but i really want to trade this car for one and i just thought i would try my luck. I don't mean to offend anybody that doesn't like imports.

This one guy was going to give me $1400. So if anybody will take $1400 for an old 350 camaro, i can sell it to him and get $1400. If it's nice enough i can throw in a 12x5 Portabote and trailer..and maybe even the engine.

    Year/Make/Model: 86 Mazda rx7 SE

    Location: Macomb, MI

    Price: 1700 obo or trade...

    Mileage: 202,000

id like to sell it for 1700obo or trade for another 5speed...

high miles for a rotary...but this one was very well cared for.

***those white spots on the rear seat pic arent stains...theyre the camera flash and my lense is dirty...the rear seats are in great condition.

So i went to chicago to pick this up...then found out the starter wasnt working so while i was still there i picked up a NEW starter and the guy i was buying the car from installed it...

    no p/s.

all electrical works perfect, but the cruise control cable snapped...
    Heat and AC works perfect...

has the rare 2+2 seating and 2
new turboII seats in the front...so the seats match now
Interior is very clean for an old car...

id like to sell it for 1700obo or trade for another 5speed...

This car is an 1986 RX-7 Sport, the lightest 5 lug FC, perfect for a turbo swap. I was planning on doing that this winter, but other expenses have come up and I don't want the car to sit in the driveway all winter. Car has 202k miles on it (original motor as far as i can tell), and starts and drives, all gears shift fine. Tires are in good shape, with at least 75% tread left (at the minimum). All the lights work. I haven't driven it except around the neighborhood, as i don't have plates on it. manual windows, manual locks, manual mirrors, no sunroof. This car does have the rare back seats.

I have a stock radio to go with the car, as well as the radio surround(uncracked). somebody before me hacked up the radio wiring, so i bought a new wiring harness, but haven't put it all in. i just redid the front brakes with hawk pads and new rotors, and adjusted the rears. I bled the whole system. Wheels have all been balanced. I bought some other seats, as the drivers seat is dried and cracking, which i'll include. Just replaced teh shifter bushings. the orginal owner kept EVERYTHING from the service history, which is great.

since i got it, i try and start it at least once a day and warm up the car...but today my starter just CRAPPED OUT on me...i tried to hit it with a hammer...doesnt work...im going to try and return it...PEP BOYS IS A RETARTED STORE...my starter crapped out after i started the car only like 3 times...but i got pep boys to replace it so its all good.
