Testing the waters. Anyone interested? Im not sure yet, but I did find a '97 Camaro for pretty **************** cheap that is built up. So thats why Im forced into trying to sell this.
    1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula
    5.7L LT1 V8
    4L60E Automatic Tranny
    Performance and traction option
    Rare Purple Color
    60,000 miles
    T-Tops
    A/C
    Power Steering
    Power Windows
    Power Locks
    Tilt Wheel
    Cruise Control
    Kenwood CD Player
    ABS
This car is mint. It is in excellent condition. There is no flaws in this car at all, nice shiny, clean, clear paint. No scratches, dents, etc. It has been well maintained and taken care of. The body is in excellent shape, and has absolutely no rust. This car has NEVER been winter driven. I am the 3rd owner and to my knowledge it was never driven in the winter, and there is no rust on it. The interior is very clean. It has T-Tops and they do NOT leak at all. She is a beauty. The car is pretty much stock, besides the Cat has been removed. The exhaust is really loud and sounds nice.
However it does need a few things. The brakes need to be replaced, I was told by the owner I purchased it from this Summer that they had been replaced recently, but they feel as if they need to be replaced, or maybe they need to be bled. I haven’t really looked into it much. I planed to this Spring. It does need a new A/C compressor as the one is staring to go bad. Also, it does need a tune-up, every once in awhile it spits and sputters, I don’t think it has ever had one, so now is the time. Other wise this car is excellent, it would make for a great summer daily drive or even a potential show car.

    Asking
$5,950obo. Willing to trade for a Trans Am or Camaro. Throw me an offer.
I do have cash as well.

Why are you trading a low mile LT1 car for a built V6? LT1s are common, powerful, and have a huge after market following. I will however post this on a few sites for you and see if you get any bites.

Oh and one suggestion. Is there any way you could wait to sell until spring? It will be hard to fetch $6K for a car like this in Winter just after Christmas.

I hope your not selling because we picked on you for it being purple. If you sell it, your going to wish you had it in the spring.

Where did you get that Im going for a V6? I never said that. The '97 has an LS1. Low-mid 10 second car..

Nope not at all. Id like to get something that is already built, but then again Im thinking to myself that I might just build my car up. The '97 has 140k, fresh top end, new tranny, all new suspension, etc. for $5k but I dont know much else. Im thinking I might be better off going bit by bit on mine.

I could wait til Spring. Thanks for posting it on other sites as well. Let me know if anyone mentions anything.

I might. More than likely I will, ecspecially if I dont find anything I like in the Spring or what not. I love the car to death, but if I got the money I found that built '97 LS1....

I guess Ill see how it plays out. All I know if Im staying in the 4th gen F-bods.

Umm..no such thing as a 97 LS1 unless they swapped one in. 98 was the first year for the LS1 in the F body.

did the 97 get a engine transplant or did you mean the 97 had a built lt1?

Just don't want to see him sell a good car for something that's not what he thinks it is.
