  • Is this a good deal? 99 T/A 427

    This car:
    http://www.mtimotorcars.com/webtemplate.aspx?IID=202376

    with this motor:
    http://www.motorsporttech.com/fbody_engine02.asp

I like the paint and wheels. I bet it'd look sweet if it had the 2nd gen T/A stripe down the center!

    What do ya think?

Sweet looking car. Looks really clean for the miles. I'd say it's a good deal considering the pricing on MTI's site is $18k installed for the engine package. I wonder how many miles are on the engine. I don't get why they'd go with mid length headers though. Seems like such a waste after putting all that money in the engine.

The ad says less than 20k on the engine and MTI has a 2 year 24k mile warranty on the motor. For fun I sent an email to MTI asking if there was any work done to the trans or rear end. It's on eBay right now so we'll see what it goes for.

How do you figure? The engine is 18K+ and the Wheels/tires are probably close to $4K. You're basically getting the rest of the car for free!

CCW wheels start at $2600/set. Michelin PS2's in those sizes are probably more than $1400 so maybe the wheels/tires are upwards of $5k?

I absolutly love those wheels but I agree with the mid length comment, those have to be majorly choking that motor. Also what type of heads, cam intake ect.

I'd say its definatly a good deal, is it currently at MTI? In the pics it looks like its in front of a shop and you can see a camaro in the back of one. I will own those wheels one day so you may want to keep it in the garage if you buy it
