well i'm not saying i don't care about just that one person who is buying my car. i'm just talking about fair market value. a market value cannot be determined without considering first who the market is (f-body communities across the country), and second, what the market has been paying ($X,XXX - $X,XXX for 97 LT1's).

and as for things like old muscle machines and pro street vehicles...the originality and mileage of these vehicles is usually impossible to consider or nonexistant, which is why people either hire a private appraiser, or just ask a price they have fashioned in their head, based on what they have invested and what everyone else has paid for something that is similar.

nope, studying marketing . im not trying to be a prick...im 20, but ive dealed on 6 cars already with my own money so i know how all this works, and im on my 3rd 4th gen so i know how this specific market works.

my dad actually really wants to keep it, but we are exploring options to make money off of it now. if we do the work, you'll see it around again for sale in a year, and you'll see someone really get a steal!

im trying to determine whether or not we want to keep it and fix the body parts or sell it for someone else that wants a cheap project. thanks for your next to useless input.

as for $3000, that definitely seems more fair. i guess we will see what is decided.

thanks for those of you that actually had something useful and/or respectful to say. i think i'll tell my dad to keep it...he's been looking for a reason to keep it since he's been looking for an f-body. we just got this car so cheap that we were considering making some money to put into other things.

ill keep the updates coming about the car's progress in another thread when we get started.
