  • V8 Firebird, Runs, $300

    1987 Pontiac Firebird

Original 2.8 car, olds 307 w/ auto swapped in.

Car needs headlights, tail-lights wired, speedo wired. It runs, idles very sound, and will rev in park good but once in drive, it will studder when you give it a considerable amount of gas, it will drive but you just have to go easy on the gas. Trans shifts good. I believe it is a 4spd 200 metric. Radiator has a small leak, water trickles down under pressure, I have a spare radiator available for $50. Most of the interior included minus a few little pieces, and carpet. Heater box has been removed along with lots of other weight savings but I still have alot of those pieces left. Car is started with a switch, as is the electric fan when the key is in the on position. Needs work.

$300 or BEST OFFER...I am open to trades in the form of parts for a 1996 Camaro or a 1992 Firebird...or if you have a beater you want to trade, I'm down for that too

Ill tell ya what if no one else has any serious plans for this car, im tempted to pic it up and finish it off in a figure 8 race. Thing is, that race is in 2 weeks. I wouldnt have enough time to weld a cage in and get everything else ready so thats pretty much out of the question for this year. my dad wont let a car sit in the yard until next year. everything about it is perfect for the application though. gutted, working v8 auto, and the price tag.

im not one to do that to an fbody. but looking at the rotted out quarter panels, floor pans, gutted everything, and an olds engine... i dont see much other use for it, it needs a lot of help. I have a hard time finding cars for a reasonable price to use, and the ones i do find need more work than this to compete. Most people want more for deltas and caprices just because they people look for them for that reason.

and to clarify a figure 8 isnt a demo derby. its a full contact race. but if you mess with the wrong guy out there it can turn into a demo derby pretty quick. i would never demo derby an fbody. it at least deserves to go down racing in style

and like i said in the first place. i would kindly step aside to someone who actually wants to fix it up. its too late this year anyway.

I agree with the going down in style, but it still hurts anyway. I just talked it over with Nick to see what I am looking at to make the car road worthy. I would love to save this car but I don't have the experience with wiring or motors to make it work and I don't have the cash to pay someone else to do it. So please just make sure to take a lot of pics of it kickin ass! Good luck!

like i said, im not actually doing it. Its just what i would like to do. Id have to quit my summer job and spend 2 straight weeks workin on it to get ready. I dont have enough money put away yet from this summer so i cant do that.

I am willing to sell to anyone for any purpose...

I would rather see a Fbody run a figure 8 and die in glory than to see it parted out but either way, it needs to go lol
