  • Gauging interest: 1998 Firebird Formula M6

I've been seriously considering selling my Formula lately, so I figured I would post up an ad to see if anyone might be interested. Here's the specs on the car:

    WS-6 emblem (I didn't do it!)
    Smooth Taillight filler panel

    Interior mods -
    Custom embroidered floor mats
    White faced gauges
    Harlan Shift Light

Car is tastefully done and was built by me with help from some friends. It has yet to be tuned, but if you get it tuned at CARS I would knock $250 off the purchase price. Should put out close to 400 RWHP once it's done. The only bad thing about the car is it has almost 146,000 miles on it, but you wouldn't know it by how it looks and drives. The rearend howls very slightly and most of the time the exhaust note drowns it out. It is NOT loud on the freeway - In fact it is quieter at 80 MPH than my old loudmouth was. If someone is actually interested in it, I am looking for $8900 OBO. For what it has in it and the condition that it's in, it is well worth the price. Here's a few pics:

Yeah, it should run 11's once it's tuned. Tom likes my car, but the mileage is too high for him, I am sure.

That's alot of money for as many miles as that.....I know you have a shed load of dollars into mods but that "rarely" translates into a selling figure.

Oh I love patricks car! With that price I'd seriously consider it. With a price like that I could afford a cheap DD/Winter ride cause an 11 second Formula couldnt handle snow. Right now my plan was get a nice TA or Z28 and drive it this winter and get a car next summer when I'm done with school

That's why it's OBO. The price also reflects the fact that I am not quite in the selling mood at the moment. I obviously would be quite negotiable on price.

I really don't have the time to drive 198miles to Big Rapids to check out your car closer then I did the few times I seen it before but if you still have it Aug 18th when I move in to my apartment I'll make the 2min trip down Perry St and come check it out! I would like to just have 1 car (and payment) but my parents are trying to get me to get a cheaper LS1 car (paid for) and then lease a new sedan (aura, fusion, etc)

Tom, if you're really interested in it and I can find a turbo Buick for a decent price, I'll cut you a screamin deal on it. As for the exhaust, since it has a tunnel mount torque arm they were able to tuck it up inside quite nicely. It BARELY scrapes over some larger speedbumps.

Yeah, lemme stop at the dealership tonight and see what I can lease a sedan for and lemme know if you have it come mid august. I am working 55-58hr a week over a 6 day span so I have no free time at all to come look even though I know your car is gorgious and I know how anal you are about it.

Definitely Interested. Def negotiate on the price but I may take a trip out there to see it in person. Does it run rough without the tune?

And is it dark navy blue or black? It's hard to tell and it's not in the description. Let me know or PM me. Thanks!
