What are the other 4? Why don't you spend money on them? You've peaked my interest, I have a list of companies I don't support as well, and Ebay is about to be added to it. . .Nick H.

OK, its a little lengthy, but...Originally posted by 93formulalt1 View PostWhat are the other 4? Why don't you spend money on them? You've peaked my interest, I have a list of companies I don't support as well, and Ebay is about to be added to it. . .
1. Ebay: I had an Ebay account years ago, with well over a thousand "good" feedbacks and very, very few (I think 2) negatives. Then, my account got hacked. The hacker bid a million dollars on HUNDREDS of auctions, generating a ton of negative feedback and the evntual suspension of my account, and a "lifetime" ban. Despite an investigation, the obvious hacking, and years of good usage, Ebay refused to rescind the ban and I have never tried to make another one.
2. Pep Boys. They earned my ire after they held a young female friend of mines car hostage, saying it was undrivable and needed a complete overhaul of the brake system, to the tune of $800. When I showed up, they refused to let me see the "bad" parts, would not let me go into the garage to see the car on a lift, and would not release the car until she signed a waiver. Total cost for me to fix her brakes was $60.
3. Wells Fargo. Their customer sevice is legendarily bad, they lost house payments, tried to change our interest rate on us (which was fixed) and were continually increasing our tax witholdings despite the fact that our taxes were going DOWN. Terrible mortgage company.
4. The US postal service. They want to know why they are losing money? Because they are the only business that you can pay to do a job, but if you want them to do it COMPETENTLY, you have to pay more. My brother in law, who was serving in Iraq, sent me home his PS2 to repair. When it got here, it was SOAKED. I poured over 4 cups of water out of the box, which looked like it had been run over. There was mold and algae growing on the unit. The post office did an investigation, determined that it happened after it made it to the US but before it was delivered. Their response? "oh. Sorry." They refused to do anything because it didnt have the optional insurance.
5. AT&T. They charged me for four months on a phone line I had disconnected. When i tried to point it out, they claimed it was still active. I told them to CALL IT. After determining it was inactive, they apologized and said they would clear up the charges. 9 months later, they sold the bill to a collection agency in Chicago without notifying me once that it was unpaid and still pending. By then, too late, its on the credit report.
So, theres the list of 5. Maybe we should split this off into a new topic? LOL.
