I noticed the fuel lines as well. Looks like they were ran incorrectally. I dig the car, but have never been a fan of LT1 cars in orange. Now LS1 cars, its one of my favorite colors on them..................go figure, lol. Eric L

My buddy, Matt Murphy (owner of GMMG) owned that car for quite a while. He was working for SLP during that time frame (96-98) when that car was built. (I remember seeing it at the NAIAS in'97) He wanted an LT4 '97 SS, and through his connections, was able to buy the #100 of 100 LT4 SS Camaros. He had it delivered through Berger Chevrolet, here in Grand Rapids. We had a special event when that car came in, with the Grand Rapids Press doing a story on it, and everything. Well, about a year later, "the Pumpkin" came up for sale. Matt really wanted the Pumpkin, so he sold #100 LT4, and bought the Pumpkin. When we went to the F-Body Gathering in Atlanta, Georgia in 1998, Matt had the Pumpkin there at that event. We took a group photo of all the '96 -97 SS Camaros, at Road Atlanta, featuring the Pumpkin as the center piece. (I have the 35mm prints of it around here somewhere)
I don't know when Matt sold the car, but it sure is nice looking. The original '69 shade of Hugger Orange on it looks much better than the shade of orange they used on production 1999's. IMHO. Matt had the white 30th Anniversary wheels on it for a while to match the stripes. I thought that looked even better than the chrome wheels.RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

I guess then that if it's a recreation or tribute car their buy it now may be a little steep for an LT1 Camaro. If it were the real deal it would have that mystique working for it and might be worth the dough.sigpic

From what the ad says after some big canadian car dealer saw the car at SEMA, the very next day he had a 30th Anniversary delivered to SLP to make an identical one.- Brian Meissen

Meh, looks just like my old V6 'maro. lol
J/K, I would LOVE to have a 383 Orange Camaro. They stole my car's nickname though, we always called it the "Pumpkin F***ing Orange Camaro." haha
God, I miss that car.Nick H.
