You don't get the chance to buy a brand new, 10 year old car every day!

x23892985709201! My car might not be perfect but I drive the damn thing. It's what it was intended for, why let it sit in a plastic bubble? I've put 20k on my car in the last 2 years and enjoyed every minute of it!

          Very nice.

          Would love to have that.

He probably want's stupid money for it...like $50K+...but you're not going to find another one, so it's a seller's market.

And, no, at this point, I wouldn't drive it either...

I'd drive it how it was meant to be driven. If you don't drive it hard, isn't that like smacking the engineers in the face?

The camaro has 8k miles on it now and we've only had it since April! But he just got a winter jeep, so the camaro will probably not see as many miles next year.

Exactly, It was a poor investment IMO.(maybe it wasn't a investment)

But I think he/she would have been better off buying a 1:18 scale model instead. They would have served the same purpose without paying insurance, and you would had another $30,000+ in your pocket. .

8 miles, very few cars like that

add it all up and its big money at BJ in 2036.

i dont think its going to take that long for 4th gens to increase in value. People are already missing their light cars with t-tops...

                      Yup...exactly...

It's grown beyond just being a "car" anymore...it now crosses over into an investment, a historical reference, and even a piece of art...

Reminds me of an article that I've got in a Muscle Car Review from circa 1990 on an all original 1959 Chevy Impala convertible with only 35 miles on it (yes, 35 miles).

At the time of the article, it was still owned by the original owner who bought it new as a 18 year old high school graduate with 4 miles on it and drove it 14 miles home, where it was parked and covered while he was in the army.

Eight years later he gets out, and finds that his mother has mounting medical bills and has to sell the house. He uses the money he saved in the military to get a smaller house for himself and his mother, and moves the Impala 17 miles down the road to the new place.

As money was tight, he couldn't afford to license the car, and again it was parked on stands in the garage and covered again...for another 23 years.

The owner stated that he had been offered ridiculous sums of money (six digits in '90) but wouldn't ever sell it.

Still had the original air in the tires.

This SS is destined for the same life.

I love seeing cars like this...cars that still have all the little factory nuances on them before the owners and time remove them.

Kinda like that 8-mile IROC at the M&G...a true time capsule.

                        this car = 1:1 diecast

while i can appreciate its historical value its a shame that it wasn't enjoyed in the setting it was intended for - i can just imagine jamming thru the gears at Waterford Hills

I would totally drive it. I put over 14k on in exactly one year and still don't think I drive it enough. But that car would be a trailer queen and only driven on weekends.

Yeah, first thing I noticed reading through it, "would make a nice Museum piece". Sad.... I will never own a car I wouldn't drive.. Then again, I'll never be able to afford a car I wouldn't want to drive...
