Sits pretty high up for a "performance suspension" maybe it's just shocks though. Nice rare color, is a hardtop rare as well? I know I haven't seen many.

I'm not saying it cant be done but I doubt the car is very nice if it has a rebuilt title. The crash would have needed to cause lots of damage to total that car out when it was only 2 years old.

They're probably a lot more ready to declare a car totaled in Ohio than here in Michigan. My mom's car had some lighter damage in another state and was declared totaled, my Jeep was pretty bad...but both were well before we owned them.

no window defogger...and it has crank windows! Its weird how most people pay extra $$ for these options, but then a car gets manufactured under a "high output racing tag" and people pay even more to not have the accessories. Car looks good though.

Reminds me of my great grandpa who would always complain that fuel companies would add lead to gas in the old days and charge more $$....then they stopped adding it and charged even more and called it unleaded...so the gas company does less work and charges more $$.

now thats a modern muscle car.

you can tell the engine bay has been repainted, but id say thats a good thing. Cant believe a car like that is still stock!

This is probably the lightest 4th gen that was build from the factory.

I like the idea of no frills, but I would want leather, keyless entry, rear defogger, ect.

i think the only 2 options i would really want on a 4th gen is t-tops and leather, foglights (maybe) oh and 1LE

I live without keyless on a daily basis (the keyless on my truck is so crappy i dont bother using it). I never use A/C, ive used defrost once or twice ever, and the power windows suck anyway. Wouldnt really miss any of that - which is why im getting rid of some of those things lol

Y'know, the more I started thinking about this, I started wondering if this car could really be built this way without a 1LE option to get the manual windows and locks.

Well, the RPO for power windows is A31, an the RPO for power locks is AU3.

And this car doesn't have either of those...nor, obviously, the ILE.

Somebody got this car through the system somehow...

Considering they only made 66 1LEs total in '99...well...a very rare car for sure...
