Wow..big money for that car! It's rare and different but that color and those wheels make it so ugly! I saw it at Superfest. Cool to see but not something I'd spend that kind of money on. I'll take a current DH car though.

This Berger SS is more along the lines of what I would buy. Alot cheaper and just as much fun to drive. Don't get me wrong I still thing the 70 DH car is sweet.

That's not a real Berger. It's a faked one. I think that car was the one that was rear ended on a test drive and fixed up too. I test drove that car about a month before the guy claims he bought it. It's a "non serialized" Berger car. It's just stripes and a black tailpanel put on a regular SS. I'm wondering if Berger did this to sell it or this guy wanted the stuff added on. I didn't want a car that had already been hit and I really wanted T tops so I passed on this car.

I know they wrecked one on the power tour. They hit a drive shaft and destroyed the floor pan and some suspension. But I never heard about one being wrecked on a test drive. I know there are a few fakes around though.

It was a Hot Rod car that was wrecked on Power Tour #1976. That's not a real Berger SS, it was just a plain SS. I looked at it and it had an "As is no warranty" tag on it and no window sticker. I went in and asked a sales guy about it and after about 15 minutes he came back with a stack of pictures of the car and said "Oh yeah, I remember this one now". He said someone had taken it for a test drive and got rear ended. They spent a lot of time and money straightening it out. You couldn't tell anything had been fixed by looking at it. I just didn't want the bad karma associated with a wrecked/repaired car. You can tell it's a fake too by the stock 10 spoke painted rims, the slash cut tips even though it says it has a GMMG chambered exhaust. I could go on and on with all the stuff it's missing from being a real Berger. The guy's just trying to make the sale based on the fact he bought it from Berger.

Wow! That Dick Harrell edition is awesome! A little bit out of my price range though, and I think at that price it would not be worth it at all to buy for the simple fact I would never want to drive it, and it would just be a waste of money for me. Camaros are meant to be drove in my opinion, not ornaments for a garage or warehouse to hold...

I have an article at home that I think is about this car and was featured in one of the magazines as being found in a guy's garage in New Ulm Minnesota. It was an interesting article that someone found an ad in the paper from a couple of years prior to the inital call. The call was made and found that no one ever bought the car. So he pursued to by the car. To make a long story short the car was there, the hood was wrapped up of the car with another hood and the original rims were in another garaged stacked up against the wall. Beautiful car and great find!

It was the article in Camaro Performers early last year. I was suprised to see it at Superfest after I had read that article. I've got the magazine tucked away somewhere in my piles! I think the guy he bought it from was the 2nd owner. He later called back to ask about the wheels and he said the original owner had them but he didn't want them when he(2nd owner) purchased the car. The current owner tracked down the original owner and he still had the wheels in his garage. I still think they're ugly, but it is a rare car.

Yeah, if I have that kind of money I'm buying something I can drive, cause I wouldn't want to ruin that car. 2 C6 Z06's maybe?
