  • David Kimble - Original Airbrush Painting - 1996 Camaro

This is the ORIGINAL ARTWORK for the posters, catalogs and other promotions of the 1996 Chevy Camaro - Convertible model.

    Auction is HERE

This is not a reproduction/poster, this is the actual airbrush illustration with ink and airbrushed color on the front and rear of a 2' x 4' piece of acetate (clear plastic).

The artwork is temporarily mounted on a piece of foamcore board for backing, and has always been hidden from sunlight by a front cover sheet. It has never been mounted or hung in any kind of frame or matting, and will need that if you are going to display it.

The colors are vibrant and sharp, as the artwork has NEVER been displayed in the light, heat, or moisture. Once this piece was completed and photographed for reproduction, it never saw the light of day again.

    • 1996 Camaro Convertible - One of the hottest years for the modern day Camaro

    • David Kimble - David Kimble's automotive illustration work has become synonymous with the term "Cutaway." He is one of the last remaining masters in the art of traditional airbrush automotive illustration. From an engineering standpoint, the level of detail, accuracy, and precision David is able to achieve in his illustration work is breathtaking.

    • NOT DIGITAL - This masterpiece is applied to the acetate by HAND. You can FEEL the thousands of inked lines, FEEL the rough texture of the color tints, SEE the many layers of overlayment and detail that go into a piece like this.

    • EXCLUSIVE - This is ONE of a KIND. There is no other piece like this available from anyone, anywhere.

    • RARE - These originals are rarely up for sale. They are usually archived away in ad agency vaults never to be seen again. Check the auction sites and other online marketplaces and sources - you will be VERY LUCKY to see an original Kimble up for sale, if EVER.

    • SIGNED - This artwork is not "autographed", it is signed by the artist with his ORIGINAL signature.

Let the Chevrolet or Camaro or David Kimble fan in your life know about this painting. It's a rare one, and nothing like it will be offered ever again.
