Hmmm...that one is worthy of further investigation for sure...one of 31 built with a 6-speed and T-tops in 95 if it is...

Numbered dash plaque, Comp T/A badging on the doors and wheel centers are tough to fake...and there were only 164 built, not 200.

    Another one for consideration:

The guy sent me photos of the car. I think it's the real deal. Has a dash plate that say's it's car number 7. It's got a ton of miles on it and needs a little work, but I think this is a very rare car. I'm going to look at it Tuesday. This kind of thing is right up my alley.

I hope nobody snakes me on this one. If this car stands up even a little it's sold. Unfortunately I still have that little problem with my left leg, but this car will be restored and driven very little so I wouldnt worry about the problem with this one.

That's because most of the good ones are manuals, Vipers, Z06 Corvettes, Etc. LOL

I went and looked at the Comp T/A and almost cried. I pulled a carfax and it's a two owner car. The first owner leased it for 3 years and only put 18,000 miles on it. The second owner ran it into the ground. This car needs a complete restoration. There are scratches everywhere, gouges in both bumpers, the Comp TA emblem is gone from the Driver side, the driver side rocker is cracked and part of it is missing, the rear spoiler has a large chunk gone ( like a big rock hit it ), only 1 of the 4 wheels had the Comp T/A center cap and they all had curb rash. The sad thing is this is a true Comp T/A. Number 7 ever built and it has the dash plaque and the special Comp T/A Owners Manual insert. It has 159,000 miles on it and is rough. I called SLP this morning and talked with a really great guy there who told me unfortunatley they don't have anything left for the Comp T/A's. No Floormats, no emblems, no wheels, nothing so restoring it would be a task. More work than I wanted. I really wanted to cry though. It's so sad to see any F-body, hell any car of any kind, treated this way, especially one so rare. If anyone wants a rare car with a tough restoration ahead I think they would take probably $4K for it. They are down to asking $4800. Truley Truley Sad. I wish I had my camera to get better pictures for you guys.

SLP cleared out a bunch of the Comp TA stuff on ebay a couple years ago. Probably not all the missing pieces that car would require, but it would be a good start. I haven't looked lately to see if they still have anything out there for them. Check for sellers tinylittlecars (David Hamburger) or foundadeal (think they have a different seller name but that's the store name).
