Was browsing ebay and stumbled across a familar car. I drive past this on my way to school all the time.

Price seems very cheap for a '66 big block toronado? Those 425's are powerful

Wish I had the money and one less car so I could buy it

139,000 maybe. Idiots tend to forget the older odometers only have 5 places and not 6. When it rolls over they think they have a low mileage car on their hands. I haven't ever looked at pricing on the older Tornados. I'd imagine that thing would be lucky to get 10-12mpg. My 71 Pontiac Safari wagon with a 400 2 barrel carb got 9mpg.

my dad has a high school story about one of those old 455 toronados ---

He was hanging out in chippewea valley parking lot after school one day when one of his buddies pulled up in his dad's brand new toronado and said "watch this." The guy backs into the parking spot one over from my dad's old 442 and and backs the rear axle of the car right over the parking curb, and then sets the parking brake. next he put it in (2nd im guessing??) and punched it. Went through first gear and into second, and set the cruise control at 55 mph. I think the car required 2nd gear for cruise control or something like that. Anyway, the guy steps out of the car and says "Hows that for a burnout?" while blue smoke is POURING off the front tires of his dads new car

Love the FWD V8 Cars, I had an 84 & 85 Buick Riviera's, not classics like the 60's ones but still great cars to drive, great in the snow, air ride, digital climate control, power seats. Got like 16 mpg too. Course gas was around $1/gal then, lol.

Damn that would have been a good buy.

I have driven a 66 Toronoda and they are neat cars however I would not want to own one. I didn't think it was fast to the person who said they were fast. The parts are not common.... I could only imageine how fun it would be to find transmission parts for it. The coolest part of the car is the rolling speedometer and not having a transmission hump you are used to seeing.
