Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Too cool! My LT4 is #18, here is LT4 #19, and it's for sale. I would love to have another one, especially one that was built very close to mine with lower mileage. A little history, both #18 and #19 were sold in FL, mine was sold at Abraham Chevrolet and #19 was sold at T.Thomas Chevrolet.

OK...I'll say it again...it really looks like the LT4 cars got a different hood from the normal SS cars...am I wrong?
It just looks taller at the rear.
Sweet car, none the less...

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.

looks like a normal SS hood to me jeff. i can tell an aftermarket SS hood from a factory one... and im seeing no apparent difference in proportions. The proportions appear correct on that scoop. What you may be thinking of is the LS1 hood, their scoops are much lower, and narrower, at the cowl. (whereas I can see plenty of scoop from inside my car in comparison)
I cant believe its that dirty in the pictures... tires look like he was backroading, and theres bugs all over the front. thats a big when selling a collector car.

All the '96 & '97 SS's have the same hood. In '98 the hood scoop changed and it tapers off more near the windshield than the '96-'97 does. Here's some shots of our '96 SS and some '97's to compare.

I think houndstooth is cool too but actually the solid leather was the upcharge non-standard selection back then. It seems like when people were ordering these cars, there was some confusion as to what was standard and what wasn't. In other words when you were checking off what you thought was the houndstooth it was actually leather. I wish I understood that whole story better.
A 30th SS vert would be my next choice, but I would have to get rid of the ugly 16" ZR1s and replace them with 17's, I can't stand nor understand the reason for the 16" Zr1s on the verts, I thought it was for performance reasons, like the vert was not stiff enough so through on a less stiff sidewall??
BTW, Congratulations WADE!!!
