Alright guys, here's the news from yesterday:
About 3:30pm, I was on my way home from school and I started getting IM's, text messages, phone calls about MiFbody being down and it having some weird error message saying the account was suspended. I went on and sure enough, MiFbody.com's account was suspended and it said to contact the billing/support departments. So, I immediately went onto HostGator's live chat support to see what was going on. They told me the site was suspended because of apache abuse. They said I had to contact the abuse department, and they only work through the helpdesk ticket system (emails) for documentation purposes.
At 3:53, I put a ticket in to see what was going on. It took them 3 hours to reply, and then they finally reply to tell me that the computer that hosts MiFbody.com's site crashed because we caused a CPU overload. They were able to attribute it to the vB Pager system that we had (where you could page members and it worked like instant messages, rather than private messages or email). So, I told them I would remove the product, and they let us have the site back. We finally were up and running around 8:30pm or so.
Well, here's the new news for people that weren't on back then. When they had shut down MiFbody and suspended my account, they had transfered the entire account to it's own dedicated computer. They told me they would give me one week to decide on whether I wanted to upgrade to a semi-dedicated or fully dedicated computer. Semi-dedicated means I would share the computer with only one other website, and fully dedicated means that MiFbody would be on it's own computer. While both sound REALLY nice, the price isn't so much. It would mean an increase of a little over $700 a year to pay for MiFbody. I'm working with HostGator right now having our CPU usage monitored to see if it was only because of vB Pager, or if the site as a whole is hogging too many resources. Let's all pray that it's just vB Pager.
In any case, after I took care of the vB Pager system they told me they would transfer the site back to our old server, but it would take a few hours for DNS to update to the new ip address. So, here we are this morning. All posts that were made on that temporary semi-dedicated server are lost. Sorry. Just how it goes. We're on our regular server, though, so there shouldn't be any issues.

Little steep for my wallets, unless we had 9 sponsors.

Guys, I appreciate the show of support, and trust me I'm going to do everything in my power to continue MiFbody as long as I can. At this point, there's no chance that it's going down. If it means getting a second job just to pay for it until we get more sponsors, so be it. I'm in the process right now of researching adding new incentives to the site which will be available to contributing members... pay $5 and get an @mifbody.com email address for a year or something. we'll see.
