  • Announcement! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

For those that have been around year to year, you know on the holidays I like to write a heartfelt message. Well - this year is no different. If there's one thing that I think all of us on Michigan FBody has learned over the past 6 months it's that life is short. Every day we're above ground is a blessing, and tomorrow is the official day to be thankful for it. But let's be honest - every day we should be thankful for what we have, for another day to be around, and another day to spend with loved ones. We never know when it will be gone.

In addition to the normal things to be thankful for - family, friends, health, wealth (mentally/emotionally/spiritually), I also want to take the time this Thanksgiving to be thankful for knowing Mike Greenan, for having the opportunity to be friends with Tom Halley, and for Baby Meissen guiding us to Angie's tumor growing inside her. The past 6 months have been trying for a lot of us - from the aforementioned to Ken's diagnosis of cancer - we've all leaned on each other at times when we needed strength and support. For that I am truly forever thankful for everyone here on this site. We may ***** at each other, we may quarrel with disagreeing opinions on politics, technologies, engines, or brands but through it all we've always been here for each other and that means a lot to me - that's the environment I am proud to have here.

With that - please take the time to reflect on what you're thankful for this weekend, be sure to let those who matter know, and at least for a few moments try not to take advantage of what we have because it can all be gone in a heartbeat.

Please don't drink and drive, please buckle up, and have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

i know i havent been around as much as usual (thank the derbies for that), but these are my sentiments exactly. im very thankful for my mifbody family and still consider you guys to be close friends

on a lighter note, i am also very thankful that its gonna be 60 and clear skies tomorrow. . .and that i have a sweet ride that runs properly. . . . and that my awesome guy put extra efforts into being home for the first time in 5 years because he knows its important to me. . . .and, if you combine all three, that means i get to drive the camaro through the tunnels at the airport tomorrow, and thats better than the tunnels on 696!!!!

Well Brian really said it very well. I feel the same way, except I wanted to add how thankful I am for a very special young lad, someone that all of us admire and has worked nonstop for 7 years to make this a special place. And that Yound Lad is:
Brian. My son, our fbody founder, and a remarkable person.

There are a number of people here that have gone out of their way to help me here over the last year, you kmow who you are and for that i am very grateful. I am also grateful for the friends and connections i have in the medical field, because after this weekend i may finally have the answer to what is wrong with my back so that ill hopefully be able to get it fixed and be active again. Also i am thankful for a steady job and great team of coworkers. Happy thanksgiving everyone!
