  • RSVP Attendance for Calendar Events

Alright guys. I've finally been able to hack up the code to get it to work. It's not 100% right, yet, but it's workable. Basically, when you create an event in the calendar it creates a thread in the Meets, Cruises, and Shows forum. In the same respect, if you create a new thread in the Meets, Cruises, and Shows forum it creates the event in the calendar as well! While this is not new news, I've finally been able to hack the code to allow users to RSVP to each event specifying that they will be there. At the moment, it's only set up to say that you WILL be attending. But, it does create a nice way to RSVP to an event so people can quickly see who is going to be there.

PS -- If you wish to use this RSVP feature, make sure when you're creating a post or an event in the forum or calendar respectively to click on the checkmark in the options at the bottom of the edit form!!!

yeah it is! it makes it so much easier to see in one spot who's going, rather than reading through the thread to see what people say.
