  • Looking For Moderators

Alright guys. The time has come where I must admit that the board is about to be more active than I can possibly handle to keep track of the every day functions of what's going on. Especially with school starting soon in another month. That said, and with MUCH hesitation, I'm looking for a handful of moderators. PLEASE only ask to be moderator if you view the site ATLEAST twice a day.

    The criteria I'm looking for:
    1. Trust. I need to be able to trust this person, MiFbody (the site) is my baby, and Angie can verify for me, when stuff happens on MiFbody it affects me in person and really stresses me out. I need to be able to trust the person and know that they'll do a good job moderating their section and not let the power go to their head.
    2. Temperment and Attitude. You must not be the type to whine, cause issues, or have me constantly going in and deleting a post or thread because of an issue that you caused or someone else caused because of something you said. Fact of the matter is that if you rock the boat, the boat capsizes and I don't want the site to suffer from a moderator with an attitude.
    3. Active. You gotta be an active member on the site. I'm not going to assign moderator status to someone that only checks on the board every other day, you must be more active than that. If something happens in your section, I want to rest assured knowing that you're active enough to be able to drench the fire before it spreads.

Those are the main three things I'm looking for. For the more technical forums, I'm really looking for someone that knows what they're talking about. So if you REALLY know a lot about a subject, please speak up. We all know that the only subject I'm well knowledgable in is 4th generation appearance/customizing/aftermarket accessories. Engines, performance, mechanical stuff I suck at.

If you apply and don't get picked, please do not take offense at all. It doesn't mean you weren't qualified, but rather the other person might have seemed to be the better fit. If it's REALLY close, I can always make two people moderator of the same forum.

To Apply As a Moderator, please click here for the Application process

I can help out by being moderator for the LS1 Firehawk Convertibles Forum, and the Making Fun of Ricers Forum, plus the Farther West Than Western Michigan Pontiac Club Forum, and as soon as I can find the Nordern Yooper Section Hey Der Forum, that one too. However, I only usually view the board between midnight and 4am, even if it is more than twice during that period. You can trust me because I'm too far away to steal your money and I am never full of sh!t.
If you would actually be interested in my help, when I have moderator status, I moderate my own posts more than I exert moderation upon others. I have not moderated myself much here.

The applications have definitely started rolling in. I've rated all the ones I've received so far. I'm not sure when I'll let people know whether they've become a mod yet, but you'll know when you do. The Moderator Application System sends emails out after 14 days to let you know whether or not you've been selected or something like that, but I don't know if I'll be using the MAS system or just going ahead and doing it earlier than that. We'll see. If I don't pick you, like I said, please don't feel offended or hurt that you weren't picked, I've already received a lot of apps.

PS - ALSO... GOING FORWARD, IF YOU APPLY PLEASE PUT WHAT FORUM YOU'RE INTERESTED IN MODERATING! If you already applied and didn't put that, that's ok, if I select you I'll PM you and ask.

Alright, I've got designations going in my head and written down, I'll publically post the designations and who has been named a moderator once all the positions are filled. These are the forums still available. If you're interested in any of these positions, please let me know ASAP and fill out an application. Positions are filling fast.
                        • General FBody Club Information
                          • Need someone that knows a lot about the clubs in Michigan that have FBodies in them. Someone that's into the "car club scene."
                        • Meets, Cruises, and Shows (two openings)
                          • Need someone that's in the car cruising scene that really knows what's going on in the Michigan area. I will probably have two moderators for this section, one for Western Michigan and one for Eastern Michigan.
