  • Announcement! MiFbody & The Detroit Auto Examiner

    http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-8811-Detroit-Autos-Examiner~y2010m3d20-The-General-Motors-Fbody-of-the-Month

Yesterday I announced that I would be working with Michigan’s largest Mustang club in bringing you the Mustang of the Month and today I am pleased to announce that I will also be working with a GM club to feature some of the area’s best Camaros and Firebirds. The Michigan F-Body Association (check them out at MiFbody.com) is the largest Camaro and Firebird club in the Michigan with a healthy spread across every generation of the historic Chevrolet and Pontiac performance models.

MiFBody.com is responsible for one of the area’s best all-GM car shows with their Spring Meet and Greet, held at Baker’s of Milford. The 2009 MiFBody.com event at Baker’s had over 250 cars in attendance and from bone stock to track-ready; there was an amazing collection of Camaros and Firebirds from the last 40+ years. This is one of those yearly events that gearheads in Detroit need to mark down on their calendar as even if you aren’t a “GM guy”, the show that these guys put on at Bakers is worth the trip. I saw rare vintage models that I had only read about and like any good GM show there was a Knight Rider K.I.T.T. replica. Click here for more information on the event as well as a few pictures from last year’s show. There are only a few on that link but they really give you a good idea of the sheer size of the event.

Beginning on Monday, March 29th (and on the last Monday of each month after), I will feature a different Camaro or Firebird as picked by MiFBody.com with information about the car, some of its history, a modification list and of course…pictures. Stay tuned to the Detroit Autos Examiner for my F-body of the Month as well as breaking automotive news from around town and around the world.
