    Hey guys,

I found a new mod for VB4 that I think is going to be freaking awesome. Anytime someone uses the [img][/img] tags, if the image is not hosted on MiFbody itself, then the server will download the image, save it locally to the hard drive, and edit your post to point the image to the new local version.

So if you post something with pictures and say the pictures get deleted from whoever was hosting them - it won't matter because we'll now have a local cache of that image! Pretty cool!

With as picture-happy as we are, what is that going to do to server storage size?

I'll monitor it and see how much we start using. Right now we have 626GB out of 696GB free.

Stored in a private directory that isn't able to be browsed and the images are stored with " .imgcache" as the extension rather than .jpg etc.
