  • Announcement! MiFbody.com Maintenance Cycle

    Hey guys,

Figured I'd post this so if the site goes offline for a minute or two around these times that everyone won't freak out.

2am - Database Backup - Server might slow down or lag, but everything should continue working like normal.
3am - Log Rotation - Services are stopped, logs are renamed, processed, zipped, services resume. Approximate time: 3 minutes
12pm/Noon - Log Rotation - Services are stopped, logs are renamed, processed, zipped, services resume. Approximate time: 3 minutes

I've updated the maintenance times as outlined in the 1st post. It's going to be a trial to see if the services can handle only being restarted at Noon and 3am. Prior to the maintenance being done today around 9:30am, the MySQL service was not being restarted. As of today, the mysql service will be restarted during the log rotation.

I have no idea what any of that means, Brian! LOL

But I have been having problems with the site quite often lately, too. How long is the site down for during these maintenance cycles?

Each time has the approximate time that the site could be unavailable - but yes, the site has been going down often lately which is what prompted the work I just did from 9:30 to 10:30.
