  • Announcement! Member Albums

    Hey guys,

Just a reminder - April Ride of the Month nominations are already being discussed by the staff and I noticed that a handful of members who are frequent visitors and/or full blown post whores do not have albums for their cars. While everyone's nomination method is different, a lot of us look at the Member Albums to get ideas on who to nominate.

While April's theme is 4th Generation FBody, it still would be a good idea for those of you who have not done so already to take the time to create an album for your vehicle and upload some nice pictures for us.

Please remember - the site's limit on picture uploads is around ~2MB per upload session. That means you can upload 1 picture that's ~2mb, two pictures that are ~1mb each, etc. If the combined size of the pictures you're uploading is over the limit, you will get a security token error message.

If your images are over 2mb big, please use Paint or other utilities to DOWNSIZE the image. 1024-wide images are generally big enough for the photo albums and to be used in the banner if you win RotM. If you would like to use a very SIMPLE utility, I highly recommend PLiska (Search for it at Download.com) - you simply select the width, choose whether you want a suffix or prefix added to the image name or whether you want to replace the whole image, then select the image you want to change the size on and you're done.

To access your albums, use the "My Links" menu at the top horizontal navigation bar (a newer feature only added a few weeks ago) and select "My Albums" from the menu. There, you can either select an already existing Album and upload new pictures -OR- you can click "Add new album" to create a new one.

    Good luck!
