My desktop is 1280 x 1024. My laptop is a 17" and I can't remember the res but listen up people....don't ever buy one of those Dell Studio laptops. That is the biggest piece of $&(#%^@(&% I've ever had the misfortune to own. As soon as I get a new HP laptop, the Dell is going out back for some target practice. I hate it so much, I wouldn't even give it away.

I've had other Dells before Brian but nothing like this. It is there new Studio line and I have the Sudio 1700 series. I bought it cause (I'm stupid) it has the 17" screen and backlit keyboard. Well when it came the backlit keyboard did not light. So after spending a day (literally) on the phone with Dell tech support, half of which was trying to figure out what they were saying, Emily ended up taking the puter apart and pulled the keyboard out and checked the connections. All fine. Then it was sent back to their support center in Texas and they did the same thing Emily did and sent it back. I can't begin to explain how pissed off I was. They then sent me a new keyboard which Em's installed and it now works but now when I type something, the cursor will jump at random to any spot and pick up typing there. The whole puter screams CHEAP, PLASTIC TRASH. I hate it and I've had it too long to send back for a refund. Never again will I buy Dell. I even had to of their techs tell me they knew they had keyboard issues with these things.

And for the person in Hudsonville that thinks they can fix this laptop, I do believe the only cure is a two cent bullet. I can't wait to annihilate this thing. It deserves the 30/30.

If you have some fun with it, please record and post video.

Seriously though, sorry to hear you're having such issues with it. I've been tempted to buy a new laptop but I keep holding off.
