Hey guys,
We have a new feature that I'm proud to have added to the site. With today's utilization of SMS text messaging in every feature of life, there's a product which integrates text messaging with vBulletin! With this feature, you will receive a text message whenever you get a private message on the site. It's fully optional and you set how many text messages you receive per day and whether or not you want to participate.
To set it up, follow these simple steps!
1. Click on the "User CP" link in the top navigation bar.
2. On the left navigation bar in the User Control Panel, click "Edit SMS Options"
3. In the page that loads, it will tell you that you are not set up with a cell phone number. Click the link to set up your cell phone.
4. Select your mobile provider.
5. Enter in your phone number. NOTE: Only numbers, no hyphens or other characters
6. A text message will go to your cell phone with a 4 digit code
7. Return to the page and enter in your 4 digit pin to confirm the cell phone number
8. Back under the "Edit SMS Options" select whether you want to receive text messages when you get new private messages, whether you want to allow other users to SMS you, and you can even set the limit for how many you receive per day.
