  • Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

As the official holiday season begins, it's time that we sit back and think about the past year and all the things we're thankful for. Myself, I'm thankful to have a wonderful family, great group of friends, and to have the basic necessities in life. When times seem rough, it's important to remember that we have so much more than people in our own country, not to mention the people in other countries. I'm thankful that I have a job, a house over my head, and food on my table - let's face it, not everyone has that these days. Let's remember to be thankful for the things that we do have instead of concentrating on all the things we think we need. As Americans, it's in our blood to always want more out of life, but at least for today, let's be thankful for the things we have.

Lastly, a very personal request, please take the time to tell your loved ones how much you love them. This is the first holiday I've experienced without any grand parents, and I only wish I could have told them how much I appreciated them or had asked for more stories about their lives before it was too late. It's easy to take for granted, but when they're gone and it's the holidays, it really hits you what you've lost.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

And please - buckle up when you're on the road, don't drink and drive, and at least for today let's not yell at one another on the road while we try to race to our destinations.

Amen, Brian. I agree, when you lose something, be it a person, or even an ability, it's important to remember all the other things we get blessed with. I, for one, will also be telling all who show today at the house, and others that can't make it that are close, how much I appreciate them in my life. And, of course, for the chance to have been a part of this forum. This place rocks for a pack animal lke myself. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and remember, THANKS is the operative word.

We had an early thanksgiving this past Saturday as my grandma went into the hospital for surgery on Monday to remove a cyst. The report was that it was not cancerous, and I really hope they're right, she's back home now.

I actually had salmon today, since it was just me, my little brother and my parents...

Hope you guys all had good Thanksgivings!
