not sure i agree with your analogy. to me its more like any other criminal that breaks into shit, except these guys do it from remote.

some of them just turn door knobs, to see if its unlocked, like some might do in a parking lot looking for an unlocked car.

Agree with CW. I used to use Sub7 back when I was 13 was the equivalent of (using his analogy) tricking a homeowner to send me a key to their house so I could go in and snoop around. I had the ability to break stuff and steal stuff, but instead I made it seem like a ghost was in their house and would play with their screen, resolution, colors, printer, CD-tray, etc. All in fun (for me, maybe not for them) but never did anything destructive.

I did a search for the KB######.exe file (wrote it just like that) and came up with nothing. On the .DLL search, there are hundreds of files that end with .DLL, so I guess I'm still not sure ..........

Doug, here are the two files specifically to search for. Sorry, I was at lunch on my cellphone when I replied with the generalized two files.

Sounds like it, you can always download Avast and run a scan with that (its free). In fact Doug, I'd recommend ditching Norton for Avast anyway, your computer will thank you. Norton is a huge memory hog.

                          Thanks, Jasen

I'll look into this Avast. I have used Norton for years, and have not noticed any ill effects on my computers performance. I have a Dell XPS with an Intel Pentium Dual Core running at 3.00GHz. 2.00GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive.

Doug, for someone who pretends they aren't that great with computers, you sure have EXTREMELY good taste in buying them!

...not to mention your computer would blow my computer out of the water performance wise... damn.

                              LOL Brian !!!

When I bought this computer a couple of years ago, I tried to get something that wouldn't go obsolete in a couple of months. I bought the "biggest, latest" one I could get at the time.
