Minimum Post Count to Post in For Sale Section

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to announce a new feature that we've added to the site. Moving forward, you must have a post count of 30 to be able to create a new thread **IN THE CLASSIFIEDS / FOR SALE SECTIONS**. Likewise, you must have a post count of 15 to be able to reply to a currently existing thread **IN THE CLASSIFIEDS / FOR SALE SECTIONS**. When a member with less than 15 or 30 post count tries to reply to a thread or create a new thread respectively, they will get an error message like the first attached image.

Secondly, to post or create new threads in any forum, you must have at least 1 post count. Thus, the first post MUST be in the Member Introductions forum. At the top of the page for all members with a zero post count, they'll see the message attached in the 2nd image.

While it may seem a little restrictive, we're truly just trying to encourage more interaction from people on the site who do not post a lot.

So your saying that they need to post in there own intro thread 15 times to be able to post somewhere else? A lot of people come into here to read more than post me being one of them. I don't think I even started a thread until I was on here for a few months. I think that 30 for the For Sale section is a good idea but I just see the 15 post thing creating a bunch of worthless threads just trying to get there post counts up to post in other threads.

Post 1: Member Introduction
Post 2-15: Anywhere EXCEPT classifieds
Post 15-30: Anywhere EXCEPT cannot create For Sale thread (can reply to parts/cars for sale etc
Post 30+: can now make there For Sale threads

What he is saying is that there 1st post HAS to be in the new member intro section and than until they get 15 posts they can only start new threads or post in there own. I don't think its a good idea IMO

Agreed!! As I read it this new rule only applies to the for sale threads. I like the idea.
