  • Happy 3 Year Anniversary MiFbody.com!

It's hard to imagine that just three years ago, sitting in the basement at my parent's condo in Sterling Heights, I had talked to Tim [99W68Firebird] saying, "Gee, we don't have any Michigan-based Camaro and Firebird websites." Tim agreed, and I made the decision right then to change that. And so the quest was started -- to create a website for Michigan Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts to congregate and socialize. The mission was simple -- to provide a "one stop shop" for car show buffs to find local cruise nights, car shows, and clubs. To become the central hot spot for Michigan-based enthusiasts to socialize and postwhore.

Skip ahead a few years and here we are today -- with a little over 1,200 members and 250,000 posts. A yearly car show slowly gaining notoriety from people in the state and also gaining popularity amongst out of state enthusiasts too. My most humbling moment was standing at Kensington Metropark last year watching the 5th gen Camaro coupe and 5th gen Camaro convertible roll off of the car hauler. To have our humble little car show recognized by GM to bring their cars and share them with everyone that came to the show -- that's what it's all about.

So what's in store for the future? The admins and I have been discussing new tactics to enhance the site -- organization and professionalism are the key two main points. Over the next months, there will be many changes occurring -- some will have their teething pains, but overall I'm really excited for the future of the site.

    Happy 3 Year Anniversary!
