  • MiFbody.com - Forum Restructuring v1

    Hello,

As you have probably already noticed, we have added a few new links to the top navigational bar. These four links will take you to four forum listings. For example, when you click on Technical Discussion, all the technical forums will be displayed. For Michigan Clubs, all of our club-oriented forums are located there. Last, but certainly not least, is our Sponsor Section. We feel that having the Sponsor Section on it's own page is a way to make the sponsors feel like they truly have their own section of the site to post in.

Another feature that you will notice as you use the new navigational links will be the two different Statistics sections. Our regular statistics that we're accustomed to has been reset to how we originally used it -- Top Posters, New Members, and Latest Posts. Our twist, though, is that this statistic section will only show all posts EXCLUDING the Technical Discussion section. It will include posts from Michigan Clubs and the Sponsor Section.

When you visit the Technical Discussion section, however, a different statistics will show and this statistics module will only show the Technical Discussion and Sponsor Section posts.

As you can see, the Sponsor Section will be shown on both statistics to give their posts the most exposure.

Over the next few weeks, we will also be restructuring the forums in the Technical Discussion, so stay tuned for v2.

                    First impressions...

                    I like it.

                    Slick and simple.

Don't even have to set a new bookmark to get to the Tech side...and somehow I can see myself living over there...lol...

I would still prefer general and technical in one central box, but this definitely works in the meantime.

well since then its already been changed. Theyre both on one screen now. Brian still has to work the little details out though like showing the last poster on the technical side.
