And again, as always, we're not trying to be nazis by doing this. It just seemed like the Word Association 2 and Number Thread were really getting out of hand with posts. It was either do something like the Whore Lounge or lock the thread.

and remember anything "off topic" can still stay in the pit, as long as there is an actual "topic" that involves replies with more more than 1 word or picture.

Agh how many times do we have to say... it's not done. You can still post in the Whore Lounge threads as much as you want. It just doesn't contribute to your post count. If the only reason you were posting in the thread was to raise your post count, then you were doing it for exactly the wrong reason. If you're posting because it was fun, then feel free to continue using the threads, it'll still be just as fun, it just won't contribute to your total post count.

This is what i posted in another thread prior to finding this thread:

I've edited my original post after having more time to think about this. The comments about artificial counts and disrespect just really rubbed me the wrong way.

Disappointing

post counts have nothing to do with respect for the site. (as we all have recently seen in the case of one of mods)

respect has to do with how you handle yourself, the help you try to give when needed and how you articulate the thoughts that are worth more indulgence, beyond that this forum and others are meant as a community for fun and commoradory. threads can get down right silly sometimes and that is a good thing - so count'em dont count'em doesnt make a difference. if you want to show an elite status do away with the post count all together and just show the date joined and people will know that you still are an active contributor that supports the community
