True that! The more money that is made available to pay for MiFbody.com, the less that comes out of my own pocket.

In all seriousness, though, the amount of donations that have already come in is overwhelming to me. You guys are awesome.

Haha yeah, it's actually kinda amazing the price differences.

The site started out as a $15 / month ($180 / year) on a shared server.
Then in 2006 they kept shutting the site down because we were "using too many resources." We basically grew faster than they liked, and they shut us down. They said to upgrade to semi-dedicated, which was hella slow and $75 per month.

In December 2006, I upgraded us to the host that we were on previously -- DediWebHost.com. The funny part though is look at the prices.. http://dediwebhost.com/products.htm We had a dual core Intel P4 2.8 (x2) for $100 a month, but then for an upgrade to 2gb it cost an additional $15 -- $115 per month.

It's crazy how much servers go for, though, and it's also really worrisome should I have to upgrade again. I visit this forum a lot looking for deals, and is where I found http://www.iweb8.com/ for my deal this time.

I also just made a donation.
I may be asking too many questions here but don't the sponsor contribute the site?

The sponsors contribute depending on the package that they select. Our silver package is $50 per year, the Gold package is $100 per year. Fact of the matter, I do not believe the sponsors get too much action off of the site because people don't come here to buy parts usually, they come here to socialize.

The email was sent multiple times because of an issue we were having with the e-mail server. It should be fixed now. Let me know if you are still getting them.

Thank you, Brian. We haven't had a donation in months.

For those that didn't notice, I actually lowered the donation goal by 40/month. I'm sure most have noticed the link on every page for car insurance - that company is paying us $40 PER MONTH to have the link on every page. This helps quite a bit.
