  • New Super Moderator to Michigan FBody

It's with great pride and excitement as I write this that we have a new member to the "Special Staff" of MiFbody. Joining Jasen and Gary as Super Moderators is 81DaytonaPaceCar -- Jeff. Over the past months, Jeff has been a tremendous help -- sending me little reminders for Ride of the Month, keeping on top of things on the board, and keeping me aware of things that I hadn't noticed. Jeff has gone above and beyond lately, putting more into the website than I could've ever asked of anyone.

Everyone, please join me in congratulating Jeff for his job well done and welcoming him to the Super Moderator team.

For anyone that questions "What is a Super Mod?" A Super Mod has global moderator permissions with the ability to delete, edit, move posts in any thread and also ban people when necessary.

since brian hired us moderators, i think i could count the number of locked threads on one hand. this is probably the most laid-back forum ive ever been on, so i dont think we need to worry about it

Gary and Jasen usually only have the ability to be online during the day at work. Jeff is on in the morning and in the evening, sometimes more than I'm able to be. I think with Jeff on board, and *possibly* one more person, we'll have 4 super mods 2 in the day and 2 in the evening. I'm ... reluctantly... slowly weaning myself from the everyday moderating of all the threads. I am really confident that the site is in good hands 24/7, but I also want to feel confident that if I'm busy in the evening for whatever reason that there's at least one other person online that can moderate a thread or, if absolutely necessary, ban the spammers.

              Thanks guys.

I think that's one of the best parts about this forum, is that it almost self regulates itself. Everyone is pretty civil, polite, and respectful of each other, and that goes a long way to the overall harmony on the board. It makes a Mods job really quite easy .

I'm still floored by how far this forum has come in the last year, and want to thank Brian for his trust and leadership since he started it.

Congrats Jeff!! I have to say, I enjoy this site far more than the one I used to sign on to regularly . . . you know the one! Too many rude ppl over there, this site is much more friendly; plus I've gotten to meet quite a few folks at the various events. Good luck and keep the site great!!
