Brian,

Why are you locking all the political threads. Debate is good and so is hearing others opinions. I know I enjoy hearing others viewpoints, weather they're in-line w/ mine or not. It makes you more of a rounded/educated person IMO. Just because you or me don't agree with what folks are saying is no reason not to hear what they have to say. No need to go crazy on the thread locking. Just tell people to act like adults in these threads and enjoy. Just my .02?

Ok, here's how it works. There's a political arena in The Pit.

Threads in this section do not show up in the Statistics that are on the forum home page. If you want to find a thread to reply to in this forum, you gotta manually go to The Pit and then click on Political Arena. Case in point, not everyone wants to see the debates -- like Chad said -- they get out of hand very quickly. Politics is something everyone feels strongly about, and then there are others that are very passionate about what they believe in, so if you want to debate, debate there.

PS - The locked threads will be placed in the Political Arena and unlocked.

Ok, I've changed my mind on whether they show up in the Statistics at the top of the Forum Home. It'd make it too hard for moderators to realize there's a new post unless they specifically go there too, and not wanting to be unfair to the moderators, I'll have it display in the statistics.
