  • Problem with quick reply

For some reason when I select Reply or Reply with Quote under somones post then quick reply window pops up under the post and after like 1/2 second it dissapears. I have to use the reply to thread button to go into advanced mode. I'm using IE. Before you say "just use Mozilla" I will say I'm at work and we have to use IE.

Are you using IE6, IE7, or IE8? IE6 blows chunks and our site is unfortunately incompatible with IE6.

Edit: Tested in IE7 and can't recreate.

That a weird issue. No problems here, but I'm using FF as well.

I tried it with IE6 today while at school and again couldn't replicate the issue.

I'm at home using the newest version of IE with no issues. How do I find out what version I have at work?

Today when I got to work I did a bunch of so called "maintenance" like disc cleanup, defrag, cleared the cookies, then restarted and its working fine now. It was still doing it when I got to work before I did all that stuff. According to the computer its IE7.0.6

Cool - happy to hear. Hopefully it was just a cache issue.

I was just about to reply that all is good but its doing it again. It only happens when I select Reply or Reply With Quote under a post. If I select the Reply to Thread red button it works fine. What happens is I select one of those and then I the box pops up but the second I go to scroll down and put the mouse over the box it disappears. Errr!

Aha - I am able to replicate it on my IE7 at work. Weird - I don't think it was doing it before.
